1. Introduction

Aertssen Logistics USA, Inc. and its affiliates (“Aertssen” or “we” or “us”) take very seriously the secure, transparent confidential collection and processing of your personal information. Please read this privacy policy carefully as it contains important information on who we are and our information practices, meaning how and why we collect your personal information and how it is processed. It also explains your rights in relation to your personal information and how to contact us or government authorities in the event you have a complaint or request.

We collect, use, and are responsible for certain personal information about you. 5. Who we share your information with

We routinely share personal information with

  • Our affiliates, including companies within the Aertssen group. We will share your personal information with the Aertssen affiliate located in Belgium. In accordance with the GDPR, we and our Belgian affiliate have a data processing agreement (DPA) and applicable standard contract clauses (SCCs) between us. These ensure that we provide the highest level of security in the transfer, storage, and use of your personal information.
  • Service providers we use to help deliver our products and services to you, such as payment service providers, warehouses, and delivery companies.
  • Other third parties we use to help us run our business, such as website hosts or external auditors.

We only allow our service providers to handle your personal information if we are satisfied that they take appropriate measures to protect your personal information. We also impose contractual obligations on service providers to ensure they can only use your personal information to provide services to us and to you.

We may disclose and exchange information with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost or used or accessed in an unauthorized way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to access it. We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

Your personal information may be transferred to offices of Aertssen companies based or operating in countries outside of the country in which you are located. We will use appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal data is treated securely and in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations in connection to such transfers and processing of your personal data in other countries.

We will keep your personal information while you have an account with us or while we are providing products and/or services to you. Thereafter, we will keep your personal information for as long as is necessary:
